QA Engineer (m/f)

The Technology group at mobile.de is responsible for driving product development and innovation for our platform. We work in small focussed teams following agile methodology.

Cross-functional teams including product management, software development and UX work together on a daily basis to create successful products that have impact and delight our customers.

Together with the team, you are responsible for the definition of test strategies and test scenarios as well as the Continuous Improvement of existing strategies and processes. You support the team with explorative and manual testing and the creation and maintenance of automated tests.

Through fostering quality consciousness you will enable the team to maintain the high quality standards of our platform.

In collaboration with the local site operations team, you and the team own your applications throughout the cycle of development, deployment, monitoring and improvement.

Since teams have full ownership over their applications our tech stack is very diverse. It all starts out with JIRA and our own ebay wide Enterprise scale github instance and comes together again in a highly sophisticated Jenkins build setup. In between you will find a variety of languages from the Java world, several build tools (grunt, gulp, gradle, npm) as well as different webserver approaches (mainly node.js and Apache/Tomcat).

Besides being an excellent Tester with high quality standards you have

  • at least 2 years engineering years experience in an agile environment and ideally worked with Agile Testing before
  • experience with writing and maintaining automated tests, e.g. based on Robot Framework or Selenium Webdriver
  • good knowledge of the whole Software Development process in the context of agile methodology
  • Development skills that also enable you to participate in the teams code reviews

You will work with people who care about well written, test-driven, clean code, delightful user experiences and all the lovely stuff that’s involved with automatically tested, zero-touch deployed applications.
