Python Software Engineer (Remote)

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a software engineer to lead the development of our back-end architecture. You will be working closely with our existing development team taking full responsibility for all of the back-end code and ensuring its functionality with our back-end systems.

This role is available to mid-level and senior developers, however attitude trumps everything. We’re looking for people that are continuously learning and improving, and who will grow with the company.

REQUIREMENTS

• Expert knowledge of Python – inheritance, decorators, generators, lambdas, comprehensions must be second nature
• Knowledge of SqlAlchemy and PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases;
• Experience in
  • Developing Python with a portfolio demonstrating this;
  • Designing and building ReST APIs using python;
  • Python web frameworks like Pyramid, Flask or Django;
  • e2e and unit testing frameworks;
  • Hands-on Git experience;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English).

Desired

• Linux system administration experience (Debian / Ubuntu – also, cron, automation via bash scripting, monit, etc)
• Experience with Nginx
• Experience with Elasticsearch

Bonus

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS
